Staffs of the Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation made a strong protest against the Labor Minister Mervyn Silva for assaulting this morning, T.M.G.Chandrasekara, News Director of the Rupavahini Corporation. The Minister had also threatened the SLRC staff for not telecasting footage of his speech at a function held in Matara Yesterday.

The main opposition UNP during the next three months together with the SLFP (M) is planning to exert heavy pressure on the government urging it to resign.
